Gomy Floor surfaces are slip-resistant, meeting DIN EN 16165 standards to ensure children's safety even when wet. The texture is carefully crafted to offer both comfort and sufficient friction, effectively preventing falls while providing a pleasant tactile experience for kids.

Absolutely, the potential for water infiltration between tiles is accounted for and is not a worry. Gomy Floor tiles are constructed from closed-cell foam rubber, effectively resisting the growth of microbes. We confirm the impermeable quality of our tiles to different liquids, such as water.

Any surplus water that might accumulate between tiles in the joints will naturally evaporate over time. Typically, our partners utilize a waterproof contact cement adhesive during installation, guaranteeing an instant and sturdy bond that safeguards against water seepage beneath the tiles.

Contrary to materials like granulated rubber, Gomy Floor surfaces remain odorless even when wet, ensuring a more pleasant experience for children.

Gomy Floor excels in hot climates like Spain or Australia. Unlike concrete and other surfaces, Gomy Floor won't cause burns. For those still concerned about heat or tile dryness, opting for lighter colors during installation is advisable, as they won't retain as much heat as darker shades.

Despite Gomy Floor's Chemical Resistance and UV Resistance as per our specifications, there are factors that can cause gradual fading of the surfaces over time. Specifically, improper water chemistry and intense UV exposure in areas lacking shade or outside water activity zones are the primary contributors to this phenomenon.

Gomy Floor is engineered to seamlessly accommodate seasonal freeze-thaw cycles. Our contact cement adhesives guarantee a secure bond between the tiles' base and the underlayment or substrate. The upper portion of Gomy Floor tiles may expand and contract in response to fluctuating temperatures, with wider joints in winter due to contraction and tighter joints in summer due to expansion. Despite significant temperature variations, the tiles' performance remains largely unaffected post-installation.

Moreover, Gomy Floor exhibits consistent performance across various water conditions, including saltwater, chlorinated water, and untreated water.

Freezing temperatures, even as low as -20°C, have not posed any issues. Our technical team has confirmed that the foam rubber composition of our tiles is resilient against freezing, ensuring that there is no risk of shrinkage at such low temperatures.

Gomy Floor does not provide installation services directly, as we depend on our network of partners. However, we consistently offer training for the initial project with each new partner. This training equips partners with all the necessary installation techniques to ensure successful project execution.

Certainly, Gomy Floor has been successfully installed on various other surfaces including metal, gresite, and stainless steel. Achieving the desired finish is crucial, and we highly recommend consulting with us beforehand to verify the suitability of the substrate and receive guidance on the necessary preparations for these floors.

The key consideration for installing Gomy Floor is humidity levels. It's crucial that the concrete substrate is sufficiently dry (ideally less than 5% humidity), meaning there should be no rain on the day of installation or in the preceding days. Even if the outer layer of concrete seems dry, moisture can be trapped underneath, so it's advisable to allow 2-3 rain-free days for thorough drying. The optimal temperature range for installation is between 8°C and 27°C.

When the water activity zone remains inactive for a season or an extended period, it's recommended to protect the installation using plywood planks covered with tarps that have heat-resistant properties, thus avoiding any increase in temperature.

Gomy Floor consists of closed-cell foam rubber, ensuring its robustness and resistance to coming apart easily. Separating the material from itself typically necessitates the use of a knife or sharp edge. The bond between Gomy Floor and its substrate is sturdy and enduring.

While Gomy Floor's foam rubber material isn't directly recyclable, our company has implemented a program aimed at providing tiles with a second life.
